Very Enjoyable

A good read with a different storyline. I liked that the attraction between the two main characters was palpable but did not devolve into soft-core porn. Of course, I always love a happy ending!

Love love love

Well done. Definitely a favorite. I couldn’t put it “down”. I finished it two days. Wonderfully Written. Perfection.

Mr. Darcey the cat

Heart warming love story. Also included drama when the Cornal kidnapped his love interest in the night!

Story focused on the mail. Weakness characteristics way too much.

Too many weaknesses for the lead man. It took me about halfway through the book until I got really tired of the same theme over and over for the him. He needs to have overcompensating strengths otherwise I’m not interested in his character. Also, the male narrator’s voice wasn’t masculine enough to overcome this character’s weaknesses.

Fun and engaging

This is a fun and engaging story. The characters are great and the romance is sweet. Both MCs are secret authors writing under pen names. The two strike a mutually beneficial agreement - Marianne will help Henry add a romantic interest to his action adventure story (required by his publisher), and Henry will help Marianne overcome her publishing hurdles. There are plenty of Pride and Prejudice references, and I especially enjoyed Marianne teaching Henry’s uncouth pirate how to woo his lady.

Perhaps it’s not the deepest or most thought provoking book out there, but it’s well written and I really enjoyed reading it.

Content:
There is no foul language or sex, and the violence is minimal. The romance is limited to a couple chaste kisses. A female character is abducted but rescued. There is no mention of faith or God.
