Great read

This book was short and sweet. Once I started I couldn’t stop and the twist at the end made it more spectacular.

The Chicago heiress and small town detective

Everyone should have their own trio of ‘Golden Girls’!! Anna gave up her life in Chicago, as an heiress and fiancée to a wealthy man, for the tranquility of a small beachside town. Here she’s found the solace and acceptance that she’s been missing...as well as a gaggle of friends. Then she meets Detective Calvin Miller...and she learns the true meaning of love. Of course we can’t have smooth sailing for the couple...Anna’s ex and snobbish parents show up! Between a rash of murders that have baffled the police and Anna’s notoriety, we have quite a bit happening in this quick story. Nice wrap to the series.

Really enjoyed the series but absolutely loved this book. Was not expecting the insane turn of events but it made it that much better!

Hooking Him is the 3rd book in Aurora Rose Reynolds Catching an Alpha Series. Anna & Calvin are my favourite in this series! Calvin sets his sights on Anna the moment she comes to town and is determined to get to know her and make her his. She has just escaped a life where she was feeling unfulfilled. She has all the money anyone could ask for but she is in search of true happiness and is leaving it all behind.
ARR is incredible at writing steamy, passionate love stories. There is an insta-love feel to them but they don’t feel overdone or unbelievable. Her romances are so swoon worthy you can’t help but fall head over heels for these couples at the same time they do. In this story not only do we have an amazing love story but the suspense added in kept me listening and engaged. Calvin has a huge heart and his protectiveness over Anna and her family I adored. Together these two are unstoppable. Virginia Rose and Aiden Snow are two of my favourite narrators. The dual narration was perfect and they compliment each other’s voices well.

I love how the author, Aurora Reynolds, writes her stories. This is another great story.
