We take many things as normal and to be expected. Just 250 years ago most americans could not afford scool and so did not know how to read or write. Horace Mann believed that people needed to be educated and he worked to make it happen. He is the reason why there is free education for all children. It was a good read. I will tell my students what he did for them.
