Madi is counting on Paris’s reputation as the City of Love. Now she just needs to figure out if it’s old love or new love...

Madi

After two years and zero proposals, my relationship could use a little spark. Paris during the holidays seems like just the ticket—one perfect, final opportunity for my boyfriend to take things to the next level.

The fact that he’s rented me the tiny servant quarters in the apartment of a very good-looking Frenchman is . . . puzzling. And when he asks that Frenchman to take me around the city while he’s busy at work trainings? Color me confused.

Is this some sort of pre-engagement test? If so, I’m not sure I’m doing too hot.

Rémy

Offering to host my friend’s vacation rental means making sure the first review is five solid, sparkling stars. When the guest who shows up is a beautiful American woman, I’m thinking my task might be more enjoyable than I thought. Until I find out she has a boyfriend. Madi deserves to have an amazing time in Paris, though, so I’m more than happy to oblige when the guy asks me to show her the city. It’s cool. I’m cool. This is all for that five-star review…

I contemplated not listening. It took me a bit to warm to to the narrator voice. I'm glad I stuck it out. Though a bit slow starting, I warmed up to both story & voice. I tend to enjoy distinctive characters voices. For me this was slightly difficult to differentiate male & female. But again... sweet story. Clean which is always a major plus!!!

Sweet Story

The scenery and descriptions of Paris and the cultural differences were really enjoyable. They were one of my favorite parts. The characters were good. The only thing was that for the first third or half, I was annoyed with the FMC putting up with crappy treatment and making excuses for her bf’s poor treatment. Happily, she realizes it and stops putting up with his crap which really helped me enjoy all parts of the story. I understand it was part of her personal development and didn’t over take the story so it was okay. Overall, it was great read and worth my time. I’m interested in reading about the Shepards now.

Great scenery and characters

Just a cute and fun Christmas rom-com. I suspect it would be especially fun for those who’ve been to Paris, but it certainly isn’t required 😊

I suppose there are hints of a love triangle, but Josh is so incredibly lame that it’s more theoretical than anything. The romance is well developed despite the short amount of time. The book has a good pace and limited angst. All around an enjoyable read.

Content:
There is no foul language, sex, or violence. The MCs stay in the same Airbnb together, but nothing goes beyond lightly descriptive kissing and embracing. There is no real mention of faith or God.

Cute and fun!

it was a sweet holiday story set in romantic Paris. it portrayed the end of an unhealthy relationship and the beginning of something sweet, healthy and wholesome. it was a sweet escape!

great story in a fabulous location!

I liked the story but listening to it was hard to keep the characters straight. The reader didn’t have a good range of voices so it was confusing who was talking in the story. I probably would rate it better if not for this.
