Wow, a real thought provoking book.

This book kept me mesmerized and though it is fiction it was a good look at what we are facing with the terrorist at large in the world today and especially in our own country. God be with us.

Drama, suspense, politics, military - Book 2

The story continues with even more drama and suspense. We like the growing attraction between Zack and Diane. And then there are the twists and turns!

Clean Military Fiction...5 STARS

The British narrating is easy to bypass w the talent of this engaging 3 book read. All 3 have suspense & a believable plot in which you never know what's coming. I enjoyed this military trilogy, as Don Brown is the cleanest author I know of. If U are wanting a clean military story mixed with some court room appeal, this is the best imo.

Book is outstanding. The plot flows well, a page turner. Can't put it down.

A mixed bag

Would you consider the audio edition of Hostage to be better than the print version?

Since I problems reading for any length of time audio books are my salvation. This format satisfies my Jones for a good book and I enjoy it very much. The print version is probably wonderful but not an option for me anymore.

What did you like best about this story?

I think that I enjoyed the kind of dark mood the author sets. Some of it is hard to listen too but it is all very enjoyable. No bulletproof red white and blue here. The book exposes how vulnerable we as a nation can be and why we are that way. Makes me proud of my country and proud of my service to it.

Have you listened to any of James Adams’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was a first for me James Adams is a great reader. I enjoyed him thoroughly.

This book skirts corny but never quite crosses over, I didn't like some things about the the book but none of what didn't like was about the writing the performance or the story, what I didn't like was mainly about the plot and how exposed and vulnerable it makes me feel about my country.
