All of the pieces of her past seem to be coming together, but there is danger in bonding to a man at the top of the food chain. If she lets him slip, she becomes the target in a war that the humans don’t even know about…and eventually, she will have to choose between his life, or hers.

A surprising delight!

Wow I didn’t expect this! Krome gets a story! I have to say I didn’t feel sorry for him at the end of the last one..well maybe a little but he was evil! Now I see a different side of him. Cora is a delight! I love her job and how unafraid she is once this gets going. I felt their relationship was a bit rushed. I really wasn’t feeling any connection between them until it happened.

I was impressed with Krome at the end and this author always drops the coolest surprises in her stories. No exception here. Not only that but Bron gets a book!

Character development and relatability

Always a pleasure to read T. S. Joyce! I'm enjoying the computer generated voice even though there are a lot of mispronunciations!
