When Nolan's sister tries to get him a boyfriend, he fake-dates a bad boy instead in this modern gender-bent young adult rom com.

Nolan Grant is sixteen, gay, and very, very single.

He's never had a boyfriend, or even been kissed. It's not like Penn Valley is brimming with prospects. Nolan plans to ride out the rest of his junior year drawing narwhals, working at the greenhouse, and avoiding anything that involves an ounce of school spirit.

Unfortunately for him, his adoptive big sister has other ideas. Ideas that involve too-tight pants, a bag full of purple glitter, and worst of all: a ticket to Prom.

S. J. Goslee has written a hilarious gender-bent rom-com perfect for anyone who loved To All The Boys I've Loved Before or Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.

When Grant asks his crush to the prom, the wrong boy accepts! While faking dating and the prom are a huge part of the story, there are many details in this enjoyable read. Parties, competition, misunderstandings, exes, fierce friendships, PLANTS, an overly involved sister, art clubs, kids mentoring kids, a lively GSA at the school, and a hot love interest.
Unusual? There are parents present! In a teen book! Grant is a foster child adopted into the family as a freshman in high school. His parents are not solving Grant’s issues but doing important work of feeding teenagers & providing a loving atmosphere at home.

The narrator also reads T.J. Klune books, so it was nice to listen to his voice again!

Do not waste a credit on this epic piece of … You won’t care about the half-drawn characters. The story arc is almost indiscernible. You would be more entertained and cringe less watching old men clip their toenails for six hours.

Worst drivel I’ve ever tried to listen to
