Replace religion with socialism?

Not a bad book, but it partly advocates socialism as replacement of some religious functions.

Great ideas

I really like hearing about his ideas on changes to help take religion away from holidays and insert humanistic good time fun I place- would love to see his school ideas actually implemented! Someday! I Hope!

pretty good

This was a little slow and boring, but has very good information. Not too bad.

A really concise and well written book

This book is a summary and a road map for secular activists to have a more humanist and equal society. The language is really basic so it can be offered for even pre high school kids.

Über liberal manifesto

The book was ok.

The author was of the opinion that the end justifies the means when it comes to social engineering. His "wedge" strategy that emulates the creationist movement, is as dishonest as the religious right's attempts to get evolution out of schools. We can't accept that the only was to secularize the country is to try to indoctrinate children in public school (as the right tries to do).
