WOW!!!

What a jam packed 40mins that was! I liked many things about this book; clear, to the point, & gave an actual plan (aka blueprint). Michele has me believing I can actually do this, but maybe 5 days since I’m a busy (longtime) homeschooling mom. I like setting clear times to really get out of your head & onto the pages. I’m an autistic ADHD adult & have been so overwhelmed with all the joys I feel & the decisions to make when thinking about writing. Just starting is a HUGE hurdle. I feel like I did some good stretches & ready to run & jump those hurdles now. I’ve not been worried about falling, I got good self esteem, but I just had no clue how to “train” or actually execute.
The narrator was not working for me though. Hands down the only thing that made the book less desirable for me. His pattern wasn’t fluid so there were times it seemed robotic & the way he pronounced some words caught me off guard. The delivery didn’t feel like a flowing presentation where the stresses were put in the right parts when making points. It didn’t feel like the writer sharing their book with me but an upgraded version of me using my “read aloud” feature on my laptop to read articles or whatever. I would like to feel like the writer was delivering a Tedtalk, informative but there is also a connection, through someone else.

Alright, I got a book to go write.
