Blunt honest and truthful

Finding out no classmate wrote a book warmed my soul. I decided to give it a listen and couldn't stop. As a woman who is experienced domestic violence myself, I felt a connection with the main character and wanting to drown out my trauma. What I enjoyed most was it wasn't a story about resolution or fully overcoming it, but just dealing with it and how other women deal with it as well. it was truthful and honest and very well written. Feeling seen for something that will never have true justice.
