This short novel by Douglas Jones aims to portray the ideas and historical details common to Huguenot life in La Rochelle, France, 1685, a tragic year whose final quarter brought the full wrath of Louis XIV.

Lovely family story of resilience

Great story of historical fiction of faithfulness in the midst of persecution. Family friendly. I continue to be amazed at the story of the Huguenot reformed Christians in France who suffered such brutal persecution and survived.

it was an ok book slow but was a little good at times the author did a good gob making a good family that loved each other but it was overall ok
