On any given day, Chief Carrie Stewart has her hands full, between meth cooks, pot farmers, drunk and disorderly calls, and the ever-present day to day hassles of running an underfunded police department. But when first livestock and then people start dying, it will take the help of a mysterious man and all her resources to discover the truth. Is she the hunter, or the hunted?

I really enjoyed this intense book especially of the characters of Carrie, Brandy, Shirley and Zane. Near the ending was upsetting and heartbreaking with Brandy, and the actual ending was a little vague. Highly recommend to anyone who likes werewolves. Narration was quite good. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. Thank you!

What did you like best about Hunted? What did you like least?

The strong female lead held the book together. The other supporting characters were relate-able too.
But the entire story-line was a little boring, since we've already seen stories like this in Teen Wolf / Supernaturals, the book didn't have anything new to offer.

Would you recommend Hunted to your friends? Why or why not?

Not really. They can watch the tv shows instead.

Do you think Hunted needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Not really. Unless there's anything new to tell.

Any additional comments?

I had received a free copy of this book from the author / narrator / publisher and I'm providing an unbiased review for this book.

Felt like "Teen Wolf" in book form.

This is another book that surprised me with how much I liked it. I pretty much listened to it as much as I could and didn't want to take out my headphones. This focuses on Carrie Stewart, who is Chief of a small town, where her usual problems include "meth cooks, pot farmers, drunk and disorderly calls, and the ever-present day to day hassles of running an underfunded police department." But when some live stock turn up with their innards missing and all that are left at the scene are incredibly big wolf tracks, it will take the help of a stranger to unravel the mysteries and catch the killer before it's too late.

I really liked the Chief. She is a no nonsense, strong and caring police officer. She loves the little town and is willing to do, and believe, anything to help it. I liked that, along with the wold mystery, there are also other issues being dealt with, like a lecherous mayor!! She was well written and developed and I was rooting for her throughout the book.

The plot was entertaining, though I would have liked a little more on the origin of the outbreak! It was fairly fast paced and kept my attention throughout too. I do have to say that I had an idea of who the culprit was about 3 quarters of the way through, though it didn't detract from the story.

In all. An engaging and entertaining read. It mightn't be the scariest but that didn't bother me. I like these kinda ones, where there's more story and mystery, rather than just blood and guts. I would like to see more from these characters and can only hope we see a book 2.

Michelle Marie did a good job. She read the story well and had a clear crisp voice. I did find some of her tones to be nearly the same, especially the females, but overall she did good.

Both the author and narrator were new to me for this book along with the genre. This is the first Werewolf/shifter book that I have listened to. Typically my genres are mystery and romance. I enjoyed this story and thought the beginning started out very realistic and then everything changed. The story kept me guessing and intrigued, it was full of heartbreak and monsters. Not what I was expecting!

This book started out good and just got better as it went along. I liked all the characters. This author was new to me so I didn't know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I really liked this book. The narrator was good but sometimes her voice annoyed me. Not sure why. The only criticism I have is the overuse of the phrases "he said" and "she said". The author overused these phrases by having them at the end way too many sentences. Drove me crazy but still a good book nonetheless.

What a great book!
