This is the cocaine trade. This is how it's done: with hard work and a good system. With coca made into cubes, dissolved in liquid, hidden in marble blocks or inside electric cable. With willing mules swallowing drugs in ovules (they'll be arrested - this is part of the system). With shipments measured in tons. With money in cash, always. And these are the risks: police dogs, scanners, customs, infiltrators - and if you do it right, it will make you rich. And if you don't, you'll spend your life in jail. This is the first-hand guide to living well on the wrong side of the law.

Luca Rastello gets the story of the market straight from a convicted smuggler: the true, unbelievable story of an illegal trade that supports economies and destroys lives, and the war on drugs that makes it all possible. This Italian bestseller has been translated into English by Jonathan Hunt.

sometimes hard to follow who was who and who was doing what as the book moved from place to place and person to person but i guess that's actually the essence of the subject matter

i love the narration by Paul Thornley

kooky storytelling, little overly dramatic. Could have been better. details of shipping product is really what it's about.

interesting, but could be better

Thi book has MOMENTS of greatness, but ultimately is a let down. Even as a "how to" book on smuggling cocaine, the techniques are (the book even admits) outdated. Clearly, very few people on audible would download it just to become a better cocaine smuggler. However, that's the ONLY reason I can see anyone actually benefitting from this book.
