Collaborator or competition? Trusted friend or backstabbing rival? Bestselling author Natalie Runion flips the script on narratives that keep us from enjoying God’s design for female friendships.

Even women in the Church often find it hard to trust—or like—other women. But when we see one another as a refuge, rather than an enemy, we can delight in God’s life-giving design for sacred sisterhood. In I Don’t Even Like Women, Natalie Runion shows us how meaningful female friendships not only foster spiritual growth, they equip women to live out their calling with boldness and joy. You’ll find yourself in these chapters as Natalie:

  • Breaks down the lies that distance us from other women
  • Validates the reality of past trauma and equips us to find healing
  • Shares stories (with a good dose of humor!) that help us move beyond insecurities, fear of rejection, and the comparison game
  • Offers practical help for strengthening current relationships and building new ones

When we take apart our own false narratives and assumptions, we see that spiritually enriching, healthy friendships are essential to the Body of Christ. A refreshing recognition of how God made each of us in His image—and not only likes us but cherishes us—I Don’t Even Like Women focuses on how the unique experiences of women can unify us rather than divide us—for the good of God’s Kingdom.

The honesty and the honor that Natalie brings to the table is a breath of fresh air for how we were meant to view women in the church and in ministry. So grateful for the stories, perspective and vision for moving forward in truth and love. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who has said or thought this title. We all need this message!

This is an excellent book to explore your reactions or discontent with adult woman. Through the authors, recollections of memories through a childhood an adult life, the reader is able to examine their own hearts and the reactions to some of the common problems that women encounter in other women such as being mean, being controlling, being pushy, etc. Every single chapter has a section where you rewrite your own script and then at the very end you flip the script. The questions at the end of the chapter are great for personal reflection as well as to do as a small group!

Living like an adult woman of God in today’s society when men still act like they’re in high school and so much more!

Natalie Runion’s I Don’t Even Like Women: And Other Lies That Get in the Way of Sacred Sisterhood is one of those books that feels like a heart-to-heart conversation with a trusted friend. I found myself nodding along, laughing at her humor, and at times pausing to reflect on my own relationships with other women.

What I loved most is how honest and relatable the book is. Runion doesn’t shy away from naming the hard things — comparison, jealousy, past hurts, fear of rejection — but she does it with so much grace and encouragement. She reminds us that sisterhood is not only possible, it’s sacred.

The mix of personal stories, biblical truth, and practical steps made the book both inspiring and useful. It’s not just theory; it gave me real things to think about and apply in my own life. I also appreciated her humor and warmth, which made a tough subject easier to read and absorb.

For me, this book was a beautiful reminder that healing is possible and that women can be for one another instead of against each other. I would recommend it to anyone who has ever felt let down by female friendships, or who longs to experience deeper community with other women.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A must-read for every woman who wants to break free from lies and step into the gift of true sisterhood.
