Apparently if you tell the cops that "the town will rise you against you" they'll hand over all of their files on a case. They also send suspects to "jail forever" without a trial.
the whole town will show up to the funeral & burial of an out of town author less than 24 hours after their death. Because that's enough time for an autopsy, embalming, & planning.
Don't forget to add in the sailor moon-esk feel good speech that makes your friends pledge their life to help you solve the death you believe is a suicide.
Also don't forget to dust your mind off while thinking.
I took way too many notes about how much this didn't make sense
