Very much enjoyed reading about the NW Territory. 20 years ago I flew into Yellowknife and we were met on the runway by a Mounty checking our ID's. He said a lot of undesireable people used the far north to hide. Stayed in a hotel very much as described by the author. Every oyher storefront seemed to be a bar.
The setting aside, I very much enjoyed the story and its cast and Ice Trap is well written.

I absolutely loved this story. Its plot was very unique and the main character, Dafydd, was very interesting. It is a psychological thriller and the author does an excellent job of creating the suspense element due to her background as a psychotherapist. What drives the story along is whether we, as the readers, believe Dafydd is an innocent victim, or if he's a liar. I was surprised to learn after I listened to the story that the author had based it on a personal experience of her own husband. I really enjoyed it and thought the reader did an excellent job. I look forward to reading her next book.
