I kissed my grumpy, off-limits patient and now we’re snowed in – together.

Alex Reynolds is the worst patient I’ve ever had—the cockiest hockey star alive. Exactly the kind of man I can’t stand.

Though seriously injured, a shortcut back to the ice is his only goal and therapy the obstacle. He defies my plan, convinced he knows better.

When a blizzard hits, he shows up at my door with groceries and that infuriating grin. Though I should send him away, I invite him in.

Roads close. He stays, and now there’s no escape. We share a sauna, and –oops–, my towel slips.

I can't help laughing right in his face. He laughs too, his edges softer, and it’s harder to hate him.

Stealing a kiss seemed like a good idea. Now his hungry gaze shows me he wants more, and I begin to forget my own rules.

Letting this go further could mean losing my license, my reputation, everything I’ve worked for—and I still want more.
