“Laura Lippman is among the select group of novelists who have invigorated the crime fiction arena with smart, innovative, and exciting work.”
—George Pelecanos

“Lippman’s taut, mesmerizing, and exceptionally smart drama of predator and prey is at once unusually sensitive and utterly compelling.
Booklist

Laura Lippman, New York Times bestselling author of What the Dead Know, Life Sentences, and the acclaimed Tess Monaghan p.i. series, delivers a stunning stand-alone novel that explores the lasting effects on lives touched by crime. With I’d Know You Anywhere, Lippman—master of mystery and psychological suspense, winner of every major literary prize given for crime fiction, including the Edgar®, Agatha, and Nero Wolfe Awards—tells a gripping and richly textured tale of a young woman whose life dangerously entwines once again with a man on Death Row who had kidnapped her when she was a teenager. This is superior mystery writing in the vein of Kate Atkinson.

This is very good book! It reminds me of "The Time Traveler's Wife", it's written in the same time jumping style. The smooth talking and ease of accents make me feel like there should be a classical masterpeice playing in the background of a horror movie. I feel like this could be true, I feel like I could know this main character and her family.

Smooth style and a little creepy

I think this book was a very good reflection of the emotions one has while parenting. Lisa's past colors her reactions to the people in her world. She does a good job of reconciling the terrible truths of her youth.

Well written!

Walter is a complicated man and his reasons for finding eliza are mysterious yet meaningful. It was worth waiting till the end to find out why.

If you are looking for a good story with great writing style, good dialogues and a short read, this book will satisfy you.

This isn't great literature but it worked great on my commute as I could get immersed easily in the combination of writing/narration. The story is flowing and there was no superflous material. Too many audiobooks fail to engage when I'm driving and not at 100% concentration.

smooth and entertaining

Thoroughly enjoyed the writing and presentation. Difficult topic, very well
done. Will definitely try additional books by this author.

Excellent story, great narrator

The story hooks you in and slowly untangles the mystery. It's well written in the same way the Lovely Bones was- strong characters, but not morbid and gruesome. A good listen and very well narrated.
