Eva Prescott always felt a pull toward something more, a whisper of an untold story just beneath the surface of her life. When a casual DNA test reveals a shocking secret, Eva’s world is upended. What she thought was a simple exploration of her family tree becomes a labyrinth of buried truths, forgotten promises, and shattered relationships.

As she unravels the web of lies that have surrounded her from birth, Eva must confront her mother’s manipulation, her father’s hidden past, and the devastating realization that those closest to her have kept life-altering secrets for decades. In her quest for the truth, she uncovers not just a family scandal, but the very fabric of her identity, stitched together by choices made long before her first breath.

With each twist, Eva finds herself piecing together the fragments of a life she never knew, forging new connections with half-siblings and redefining her place in a family she no longer fully recognizes. But as the layers of deception fall away, so too do the chains that once bound her, revealing a truth that will redefine everything she thought she knew.

Identity Crisis is a gripping tale of betrayal, resilience, and the unyielding power of self-discovery. It’s a story for anyone who has ever questioned their past, fought for their truth, or sought to reclaim their identity from the shadows of family secrets.

The author does a fantastic job explaining her story and it keeps the reader on edge wondering what comes next. I really never thought about the ramifications of finding out things on DNA tests that maybe were hidden and never meant to be found out. Well done.

Narrator: Did a great job reading the book. I have listened to many audiobooks and she did a good job at keeping the reader interested.

Makes you question whether or not you should get your DNA checked ;)
