The most frank and intimate portrait of the Trump White House yet

Stephanie Grisham rose from being a junior press wrangler on the Trump campaign in 2016 to assuming top positions in the administration as White House press secretary and communications director, while at the same time acting as First Lady Melania Trump’s communications director and eventually chief of staff. Few members of the Trump inner circle served longer or were as close to the first family as Stephanie Grisham, and few had her unique insight into the turbulent four years of the administration, especially the personalities behind the headlines.

As a Never Trumper, before that was even a term, it was interesting to hear the perspective of someone who was with the Trump clan for many years. She humanized Melania, which I truly did enjoyed. I don't think anyone really believed Melania could control Donald. I'm sure no one has that power. I am also glad the author did the narration herself, it gave it a more personal feel.

As far as Donald went, there wasn't anything there that I didn't already know about him, but she did her best to humanize him as well. And I'm sure, he is a different person one on one, than he is on Twitter, or in front of the camera.

Stephanie cussed like a sailor, so if you find that offensive this audiobook and the book is not for you. I however, found it realistic and how I personally would have reacted to situations in life, so I applaud her for keeping it real.

I honestly don't think even Trump fans can find a whole lot of fault with her book, she was super protective of FLOTUS. She admits her faults and has had time to have self awareness of things she should have done.

I definitely think it's worth reading or listening to.

The narration was unique from other audio books because it was Stephanie telling the story however I quickly got used to it and it helped bring authenticity to the events. Definitely a good listen.

I've read most every book on the Trump presidency. This is the easiest read and most balanced of all.

Most balanced Trump book yet.

I chose 5 stars on story because she introspectively decided that she had the abused female syndrome to have remained so long. I agree and wish others would consider that. Many say those who remain with Trump are opportunistic and or afraid without courage. Agree. Snd Grisham’s explanation is the first time I heard that there are some people who may remain loyal to him have the abused person syndrome. Just s possibility I find plausible. Better late than never. Ms. Grisham.

President Trump and Congress did a terrific job for our country and for peace in the Middle East. One wonders if the utter nonsense that Ms. Grisham and others have chronicled was necessary to achieve those successes.

Insightful
