The ImmersionPlus series of original vignettes has been created especially for the intermediate to advanced foreign language students who want to improve their foreign language comprehension.

Each ImmersionPlus program consists of a variety of entertaining dialogues introduced briefly in English, and then spoken entirely in the target foreign language. The vignette is first heard at a normal conversational rate, then at a slower rate to aid comprehension. The same dialogue is then repeated at the normal conversational rate used by native speakers.

Useful

This is a pretty useful addition to your audio files for Italian--you may not want to learn words for going fishing or golf (two of the dialogues) but it's great for comprehension and picking up common vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. You need to already have studied Italian!

Save your money, buy something else.

Each dialogue is introduced in English. If you will be able to understand the conversation that follows, you won't need the English language intro. If you need it, you won't be able to decipher the Italian language dialogue. A booklet with the sentences translated would make this possibly useful.
