After losing her husband and daughter in an all-too-common act of senseless terror, Nina Rogers thinks she might also be losing her mind. Is she slipping because of the tragedy, or is her memory actually failing her? Is she experiencing the same thing her mother did, or is this something different? It might be easy to figure out in a normal person, but Nina is anything but normal. She has hyperthymesia: the ability to recall every minute of every day of her life. As the days go on, she sinks even deeper into madness and knows that she needs to find some answers to what is happening to her before it’s too late. Tragically, the one person who may be able to help is also the man who killed her family.

there's interesting twists that lead you on a trail of missing memory and pieces of time as you wonder if Nina could have done something really terrible or not. The disease of having a perfect memory seems to be a cursed to me and I was a bit fascinated by the thought process in this story. the ending is a bit of a tease and has my curiosity going, hopefully will get to read a sequel. no adult content.

tantalizing mystery

The concepts in this book are pretty interesting. I had a little bit of a harder time following in some spots, but there were plenty of reminders to where I could piece together what was happening. The author does a great job of giving us a good look into the main character's uncommon way of thinking as well as tying all the pieces of the puzzle together.

The narration was pretty good as far as being consistent and clear; however, it was a little monotonous and I would have liked there to have been better differentiation between character voices.
