Someone is paying a group of complete strangers a handsome amount of money to live together for one week. As they gather at the secluded home in the mountains, they quickly realize they all have very different personalities.

As mayhem and mishap ensues, it becomes questionable if the little group can hold it together long enough to collect their reward - without killing each other in the process. All bets are off in this light-hearted and comical journey where these social misfits must overcome their own personality quirks while dealing with those of their fellow strangers.

This quick novella is built on a strange little mystery that is never resolved during the course of the book. For reasons unknown, several strangers are invited to live together for one week in a rural house. When the week is passed, they are each promised ten thousand dollars. Things start out rough with a lot of bickering as very different personalities come into play, and then two of the guests rob the strangers of everything. The rest of the story is focused on trying to recover their missing belongings in a town that has its own little mysteries.

The story held my interest. It’s a little bit like Lifeboat, people needing to come together to solve a problem. What the story does not do is answer the question of why someone chose to bring these people together in the first place.

Doesn't Answer the Big Question
