This second edition of Viaggio a Taormina is annotated with collocates (or collocations). You'll learn faster with clusters, where you can see which word pairs with. This technique was initially implemented by lexicographers, and later widely adopted by polyglots for its effectiveness in recalling and cutting the time you spend on the dictionary. Never seen before in any book aimed at language learners, I decided, laboriously, to include it in this edition for your consideration.

A word of advice if you’re learning: turn the TTS on, and just listen first. Even if the voice is robotic, you can learn a great deal by listening. After listening, read the chapter. Some dialogue features the ‘passato remoto’; it’s a past tense with more emphasis on the distance of the event. Widely used in southern Italy, it must be learned, and not dismissed as a literary form. Ciao.
