A Wonderful Story Including an Injured Soldier

The love between the army buddies was heart warming, and gut wrenching. Jake performed an action which he hated to take, but would save the life of his dear friend, Max. Max‘s anguish in the hospital could only be overcome by the caring Daphne. Although their initial meeting was unusual, their patience and understanding with each other overcame any issues they had. What a lovely story of kindness and empathy for another individual who is hurting and desperate. This is a beautiful story by Ginny Sterling. I have enjoyed every book I’ve listened to via audiobook, they are wonderful! As a sidenote, I’m not a big fan of virtual readers because the distinction between voices sometimes is not very clear. I’ve had to go back when listening to a story just to figure out who is supposed to be talking at the time.

liked the relationships between Jill and Houghton, Daphne and Max, and the brotherly love of Ortega and Max. I DON'T like the virtual voice at all. inflections are wrong, just can't get into it at all.
