Macho, arrogant and stubborn, Jake certainly had a distinctly defined idea of how this partnership was going to go between the two of them, and clearly he was wrong.

It took a bit to get used to the narration, however this story is worth it. I love how Lena and Jake grow together throughout the story. All Jake wanted while he was in Ghazni was to be matched with someone to write to as he was seeing all of his battle buddies fall in love around him. But he was told to wait as he had some growing up to do. Lena is the sister of Dr. Bow from the Flyboys series and has her own issues. The two of them meet at Reserve Ranch and become roommates who then become friends and finally fall in love. Listening to the book after reading it just brings it to life. Can't wait for more of this series.

Love Helps Healing!

Jake has such a sassy, ornery mouth he doesn’t deserve Lena. Lena is such a sweetheart who shows concern and tries to help Jake every time he has another injury. Her beauty and kindness win his regard and he finds himself in love with Lena. Thank goodness it’s another beautiful love story!
