Empowering, sweet and just the right amount of heat!

Wow okay—I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I really enjoyed it! The plot was solid and honestly just so dang relatable. That whole people-pleaser thing? Doing everything to keep the peace but slowly losing yourself in the process? Yeah… felt that.

I loved that Jo finally found the courage to make a change, stand up for herself, and take risks that actually brought her happiness and peace.

I didn’t totally love one of the things she did, but overall this story hit in all the right ways. It was sweet, had just the right touch of spice, and felt super empowering for women in all different seasons of life.

Also, I LOVED Cole. His quiet strength, his patience, the way he just showed up for Jo over and over again… total golden retriever MMC energy and I was so here for it. 🥹💛

I listened to the audio version and it brought everything to life. Ava Monroe and P.G. Hammock did such a great job capturing the emotions and giving the characters depth.

Great performance, Nice palate cleanser

This was a quick read, but hit all the story points for me. I enjoyed the character development and journey for Jo & Cole. Even though it was pretty fast paced, it didn’t really feel rushed- it felt like it moved exactly how it needed to!

Relatable!

The thing I like most about this book is that it is relatable. It is a contemporary romance about a woman leaving a relationship where she is not prioritized and finding herself. I think that this would be a good book for a lot of women since it highlights self-empowerment!

Such a great story

I absolutely loved this story. The VA were great and oh how I could relate to the feelings our FMC had and went through. I’m glad it wasn’t a cliche love story.
