The brand-new novel from Sunday Times best-selling author Carrie Hope Fletcher.

Luna Lark used to love her name, but that was before people started saying it differently.

I'm so sorry, Luna.

Are you alright, Luna?

Everything will be okay, Luna.

Luna doesn't want pity, what she wants is a fresh start. Somewhere she can make headway on her next novel, mend her broken heart and - most importantly - keep herself to herself.

For that Luna needs the most remote place she can find: Ondingside, a magical little island off the wild coast of Scotland. And when the town is cut off on her first night by a freak July snowstorm it feels like fate.

But Luna soon realises that being a newcomer in a small town might not be the best way to blend in. People are curious about her - handsome, kind, coffee shop owner Beau in particular. Will history repeat itself or will they have a future?

Powerful, magical and utterly romantic, In the Time We Lost is an unforgettable love story that will take your breath away. Perfect for fans of Paige Toon and Giovanna Fletcher.

"Luna could even, if she let herself, find love."

I loved previous books by Carrie so I really wanted to read this one but either I read it at a bad time and I don't enjoy the magical realism right now or this book wasn't like the others she wrote. It wasn't bad at all, the plot is interesting and the idea is really good.

As much as I adore the movie Groundhog Day and I adore stories surrounding the idea of repeating the same day over and over, I didn't enjoy this one as much. It was fine but I feel like it could have gone further, it started to get interesting by the end.

The fact that Luna didn't notice what was happening at first was different but it made the story kind of slow. I was confused at first and I feel like if she knew it would have been different. I would have connected a lot more to the characters if the story didn't kind of repeat itself so much.

The romance was cute but I didn't connect with the characters so it was just okay for me. But it did break my heart by the end.

The epilogue was good, I liked it a lot. The part where the title makes sense was amazing. And the last sentence was great.

I really wanted to love it

I'm deeply impressed by the narrator and the way she made all the characters come to life. supported, of course by good writing of them in the first place.

The ending...well, you'll get there.

Good Story, Great Performance

I found the book confusing and the main character infuriating! I always try to make it to the end to make it cost effective but this one was hard to stick with.

Confusing!

I was enthralled, and then I was hopeful... And then I wished I hadn't wasted my time

Might be unfair
