The future is not ever in motion.

It's all a lie: the thought that the future can be changed. Jayne knows. She's been cursed to watch how the people around her will die, and no matter what she does, she can't change it. That includes Aaron, the handsome English boy who transferred to her school mid-semester and has eyes only for her.

But then a serial killer takes up residence in Jayne's town, and she's on his list.

Finding a way to alter the future has never been more critical.

The first book in the Goddess of Fate series, Inevitable is a suspense novel with a hint of the paranormal. Fans of Bella Forrest will enjoy this new take on an unfamiliar mythology. Romance, magic, suspense - the perfect book to escape into!

Jayne has the power to see deaths. But as far as she knows she cannot change things. It was a charming coming of age tale. I wish book two was already out. I got this book through stoeyorigins and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I have come to really enjoy books by this author. This book was no exception. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions with each other. I enjoyed the levels of intrigue that happen in this book: who is the woman that appears after each of Jayne’s visions, why is her Spanish teacher so nervous at the police station, who is the serial killer and will Jayne be able to help stop him, can Jayne finally find a way to change the outcome of her visions, why does Jayne even have the visions? The story is well written without giving away too much too soon. I feel the author did a good job channeling a high school age girl’s emotions and level of maturity in dealing with situations. The romance is kept sweet and clean as is the language.

At first I wasn't sure where this story was going. As I read it I couldn't stop. Jane felt cursed. Seeing was horrible when you don't even know how to use the gift. Well written and I loved the characters. I also thought the narrator did a great job. Can't wait to read the next one.

Wonderful!!! The author has a well written and flowing story, I almost didn’t want to go to bed because I wanted to find out what happened next. You have Gods and monsters for sure in this book. The main characters had the ups and downs that teenagers go thru and make it to adulthood. The killer in this book has a few things up his sleeve that will surprise you. I don’t know why she tried to keep secret what she could do. Law enforcement in this day and age use physics a lot, and mediums are on TV. The narrator did an awesome job with each character showing excitement where appropriate. I love books like this that explore the paranormal that can be found in normal people. Throw in a goddess or two and you have a great adventure.
