Infinity is the story of the Boy, a young writer who loses everything and decides to escape an unpalatable life through an overdose of psychedelics and cocaine blended into a milk shake. He awakens in the taxi of a seven-foot tall white rabbit with natty dreads and a Rastafarian accent. The Boy is banished to the sixth millennia, in a society called the Government of Human Beings where he is ruled over by The Human Constitution.

The Man, a licensed Dad and Confusion Age Historian, finds the crying Boy and decides to provide him with protection and tutelage to quickly prepare him to face Infinity. An accident leaves the Boy alone again, and uncertain whether he is hallucinating or dead, the Boy enlists to fight a war for a dream world that is not his own. Along the way, he accidentally uncovers the Garden of Eden and discovers humanity's true origin. Infinity probes the full-spectrum of raw human nature, exploring concepts of purpose, family, morality, crime, value, and the implications of what a physical Infinity means to our daily lives.

I went into this not knowing what to expect and ended up glued to it. The story is weird in the best way, talking rabbits, strange societies, and a main character you’re never quite sure is alive or dreaming. Under all the trippy stuff, there’s a lot about purpose, choices, and what it means to be human. It’s one of those books that makes you think long after you finish, even if you’re still not sure what parts were real.

This book takes risks and fully commits to its ideas. The story moves between surreal experiences and serious questions about humanity, purpose, and morality, keeping things unpredictable throughout. The world-building is imaginative, and the concepts linger well after finishing. While it can feel disorienting at times, that uncertainty seems intentional and fits the larger themes. Readers who enjoy philosophical fiction with unconventional characters and big questions will likely find this a memorable and challenging read.

I pressed play on a whim and ended up wide awake long after my run should’ve ended. The narrator’s voice had me alternating between chuckling and scratching my head, but in the best way. I felt oddly rooted in the story even when things went wildly off-track. It’s the kind of audiobook that tricks you into questioning everything you think you know, and makes you stare at your phone afterward, wondering what in the world just happened.
