The two are thrown together by fate with a side of fresh chemistry. They're both trying to do something great with the old house, but their plans are as mismatched as their personalities, making Steven rethink his lone-wolf ways and lighting up some of Danika's own pushed-aside dreams.

Will Danika's hometown heart spark something in Steven's city-slicker soul? Is Steven's need for control going to click with Danika's all-in passion?

Enjoyable romantic story

I really enjoyed the story, characters and the small town setting. My first read of a book by JC Savoy. Look forward to read more from this author. Also enjoyed the narration.

I liked it, until the end. Just, why?

The story was going really well until the end. It was a gentle story with two people treating each other respectfully. There wasn’t a lot of angst or denying feelings. Then, then end.
Danica and Steven’s father just left him in the hospital all alone after he’d been in a coma for five days. What’s wrong with these people?! Who does that?
I took off one star for that, but I really feel like it ruined the whole story.
