The Montgomery Ink saga from NYT best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan continues with a road-trip romance between two friends running from their past.

Brenna Garrett needs time to think about a major decision but finds herself bringing Benjamin Montgomery with her. The problem? He's her best friend's twin, so there's no escaping that familiar face.

Benjamin didn't want to leave his family in a lurch, but Brenna isn't the only one who needs a break. Only a drunken mistake leads to a night of passion with unintended consequences.

When it turns out they can't walk away, they'll have to make a choice: Remain just friends or start something new and possibly risk everything.

Including themselves.

I absolutely adored this story! Brenna and Benjamin go about things a little backwards but with everything going on and all the connections they have it just seems to work for them. When Brenna ends up pregnant it forces them to confront the issue that they were both going to try and ignore, the attraction and chemistry with each other. I loved watching them come together without trying to overstep on the other's toes or send them running as their paths changed and started to intersect in a much closer way than before. This was an entertaining read and while they definitely had their issues/bumps in the road, felt like a little smoother fall into the relationship though they were both holding back on the feelings, both to themselves and sharing with each other. This story had plenty to hold my attention from beginning to end and I really enjoyed reading it.
The narrators did a fantastic job with the story! I truly enjoyed listening to this book.

I liked the story. It was nothing special but still nice to listen to. The story was good but sometimes the monologues got too long, I hated the voice of the female narrator. It sounded too whiny. Many times I fast-forwarded her narration, especially during her monologue which just sounded like someone complaining endlessly because of her whiny voice. I loved the male narrator's voice. All around a nice story.

This was a great story. I loved Brenna and Benjamin. It was interesting how they sort of blindly stumbled into their relationship. I loved how it was characters that we were already familiar with that were put together first as friends who realized that they had other feelings. I love how they became less worried about what others would think, and more worried about what they themselves thought. This was a fun story. The narration and performance was wonderful.
