In Insights from Beyond, Anaja Metellus invites listeners on a personal and spiritually rich journey born out of grief and a longing to see his long-held beliefs come to life. After losing his grandmother and two young cousins, he found himself consumed by questions about mortality and the meaning of life. A late-night YouTube search led him into the world of near-death experiences (NDEs). These testimonies would go on to profoundly shift his understanding of life, death, and God.

Raised within Evangelical Christianity, Anaja began to see his inherited worldview through fresh eyes. NDEs didn’t pull him away from his faith but they did prompt him to examine it objectively. With honesty and reverence, he explores foundational truths through biblical reflection and scientific research. Questions of origin, identity, purpose, and destiny unfold in ways that invite every listener to reconsider what they believe and why.

To Anaja, NDEs aren’t hallucinations but spiritual breadcrumbs. They’re God’s way of whispering to us through the veil. In an age where religion often feels divisive or shallow, this book offers something deeper. Whether you’re a believer, seeker, or curious skeptic, you’re invited to explore the mystery. You may find that God isn't offended by your search. In fact, He may have been waiting for you to begin it.

This book came from a real place where the author lost some family members in 2018, and his grief led him to spend seven years researching near-death experiences. What I appreciated most is that he’s not preaching or trying to convert anyone. He’s just sharing what he found and letting you draw your own conclusions.

He balances the scientific research on NDEs with thoughtful spiritual reflection. He challenges some traditional beliefs but stays grounded in the Bible, and he’s honest about what he knows versus what he’s still figuring out.

Chapter 4 has the core of his insights. I like how he frames what it means to accept Jesus. The sections on the life review and our purpose really stuck with me. Simple ideas, but they hit different when you hear them described by people who’ve technically died.

Heads up: Chapter 3 dives deep into evangelical theology, which won’t be for everyone. But the author says to skip it if that’s not your thing.

I highly recommend for anyone who’s grieving, is a spiritual seeker or is deconstructing their faith.

Wow! Really thought-provoking and a must listen!
