This excellent book educated me on why and how my body needs to sleep so that I can better understand why certain methods don't work. It also gave me the right combination of practices to use and it is working! It helps that the information is clear and backed by science. Many people will prioritize sleep last, sacrificing it over work, caring for children, etc., which is understandable. However, sleep is one of the most important and necessary foundations, which will affect every aspect of your health and how well you perform in all areas of your life.

I've suffered from periodic episodes of insomnia for decades now and found this audiobook to be very helpful in terms of confirming what I knew and what I had been wondering about. The author gave me a sense of empowerment that with a growth mindset, I am fully capable of pinpointing why my sleep was suffering and how I have all the tools necessary to remedy this. It is thorough, informative, supportive, and encouraging that there is hope and help for all sleep sufferers.

I learned how to feel secure in falling asleep, how to get out of the sleep stress cycle, and discovered the habits that work for me. I especially liked the quote referenced and feel it is applicable to anyone who suffers from sleep quality and quantity issues, "The reasons we can't sleep at night are usually the same reasons we don't truly live during the day."
