Inspiring Izzy

Divorce. It sucks. Especially for Izzy Thompson. The last place she ever expected to return to was the mountain she grew up on. But when she and her husband, Steve, decide its best for their daughter if they go their separate ways, she finds herself living with her parents. It isn't an ideal situation, but Izzy needs a steady place to land until she can get back on her feet. And she knows her daughter could benefit from some much-needed time with her grandparents. When her ex, Brady, offers her a job, she can't refuse the pay or the perks that come with it. Determined to keep their confusing, messy, toxic past in, well, the past, Izzy sets ground rules to keep them in check. No flirting. No contact outside of work. No mentioning the past. Ever. The ground rules only work for so long, though. The more time she spends with Brady, the more Izzy finds herself falling for him all over again. Rules, after all, were made to be broken.

Good 2nd Chance

This was a good second chance and addition to the series. Izzy, Steve and Brady were featured in Ava’s story and I was glad to see this one. But there are some glaring consistency issues. The biggest being what happened to Ava’s pregnancy? It was announced in the last book Love Taylor and we know at least 6 months passed before they were engaged and it’s about a year later in their one and there is no mention and no baby. The Angie thing also just seemed unnecessary to me but overall I enjoyed it. I was narrated by virtual voice which was ok and better that having Alexa read which I frequently do. I don’t know that I would use a credit or buy it but having the option in The plus catalog was nice.
