Well Written and Narrated Story

I adored this novel so much! All the good feels here. Brynn and Jake were so wonderful. I loved Brynn's maturity as she helped Jake navigate his feelings about his brother's death when he was a teenager as Jake helped Brynn learn self defense moves after she was approached by some guys who knew her from her online fitness videos. So many touching moments that brought tears to my eyes and the epilogue ended in such a poignant way. The narrators were awesome and brought this book to life in ways reading it silently never can.

Maxine Mitchell and Stephen Dexter are our narrators for this one! Maxine is an incredible narrator and does a great job as Brynn! Stephen Dexter, I have not heard a lot from him but love him as Jake!!

We are back in Steel Ridge with the guys of Harper Security Ops.
Brynn finds that she has gotten some unwanted attention and turns to HSO for assistance and runs into Jake. They are both instantly attracted and drawn to one another but will Jakes past keep him from giving in and finding the happiness his coworkers have?
Giving into the attraction, both Brynn and Jake find that they are perfect for one another but will the hidden danger that brought Brynn to him keep them from going the distance?

Another suspense filled romance in the series

Once again, this author delivers another suspense filled romance audiobook.
We are back with the dynamic members of Harper Security Ops and this time the story belongs to Jake Burns, the self defense expert whom we have met in previous stories.
Brynn Allen is an ambitious personal trainer/social influencer . As independent as she is, when a stalker makes their appearance, Brynn reaches out to Harper Security Ops for help and it’s Jake who becomes her bodyguard.
The attraction is immediate but Jake’s past is difficult to allow him to open his heart.
As the danger intensifies so do the feelings taking the listeners to lots of ups and downs of emotions .
Will these two be able to overcome the evil and in the end , find their HEA?
The plot was engaging and the characters perfect because of their imperfections. The story was also a reminder that the experiences we have during our childhood and youth, will affect the adults we become.
The narrators Maxine Mitchell and Stephen Dexter did a great job with the voices.

Great combination of romance and suspense.

I did not like the reason Jake and Brynn met. But I am envious of how they met. I wish one of my girlfriends knew someone like Jake. Great combination of romance and suspense

Evans never ceases to amaze me with the variety of stories and books she writes that are all unique and full of romance each with their own HEA. A. K. The story was read in such a way one could imagine being a part of the book.
