It has been four years since ex-Navy SEAL Jack Haliday, had an explosive run-in with a biker gang, wounding their leader, Gunner. During those years, Jack had acquired everything he ever wanted: a beautiful wife, daughter, and a lovely home in the suburbs - everything was just about as perfect as it could get, until Gunner returned to twist Jack's world inside-out with a vengeance that he could never have prepared for. Now Jack has a score to settle and he's got some friends to help him do it.

I couldn’t help but get drawn into the story as it is filled with intriguing characters, and numerous surprising twists and turns . I was kept guessing what would happen next I look forward to the next book in the series.

The book has a very good premise and setup for a thrilling / gritty story. The background created by the first few chapters of the book sets up the mood of the book and it's very promising. But then the author throws all kind of scenes in it and it gets very disjointed. There's a little bit of romance, some kink, explicit sex scene, cozy scenes with kids, bloody action scenes etc. And the scenes keep changing rapidly from chapter to chapter. This results in very confusing read, because you are unable to stay in a certain mood for the story. I wish the scene jumps were less frequent.
The narration below average. No distinguishing element between different character voices.
Too frequent scene / tone changes.
