Located at the western tip of Kanagawa Prefecture, Hakone has flourished since the Edo period as a highly desirable hot spring spot among regular people. 神奈川県の西の端に位置する箱根は、江戸時代から、庶民の憧れの温泉地として栄えました。
明治時代には外国人専用の富士屋ホテルが繁盛し、国際的なリゾートとしても有名になりました。
現在も、周辺都市からのアクセスが便利な観光地として人気です。
