A chilling medical thriller

A cautionary (hopefully cautionary, and not descriptive) tale of how easily one's bodily autonomy can be taken from them. The story is propelled by lovable, believable characters, I for one, enjoyed spending some escape time with.

Although a pleasure to listen to the author read her novel, I preferred the kindle (text) version. Personally, I think an actor could do this top notch story more justice. But that's just me. I like a more dynamic and varied performance, with character voices, for instance, in an audiobook performance.

Overall, it's a wonderful and gripping story. I love the kindness and humanity portrayed by perfectly flawed characters doing the best they can and coming out on top. It is an uplifting story.
