What would have made Investing & Wealth Management better?

The series of lecturers spent a lot of time stating the obvious in dramatic tones and missed providing the key hard facts that would make their advice workable. For instance, the lecture on Financial Freedom recommended hiring a stockbroker or financial adviser with no rules on how to find a competent and honest adviser. Many financial advisers and stock brokers take advantage of clients via putting them in high front end fee (5%+) mutual funds and other investments where they benefit without disclosing that to the client. The lecturer with the 21 principles for success had good principles but completely bypassed explaining the pitfalls in working for a corporation or having a bad boss. If you are not in the right job in the right company, following the principles may not help much.

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

No.

What three words best describe the narrator’s performance?

NA

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. The description and title promised more than the book delivered.

Too much pablum, too little hard insight

Would you pay for an informercial? That's all this 11 hour "audiobook" is all about. It doesn't give you any information on how to invest or how to manage wealth. All they talk about is in reference to their self help programs or books. So you are actually paying them for advertising their products, exclusively, to you.

PAID-BY-YOU INFOMERCIAL

This was really dreadful. The first hour or so was ok but then it just went down, down, down. Eleven hours of fluff, motivation speak. The title leads one to believer there is some real financial planning substance here. There isn't. Some of the stories were so ridiculous it was sad. Motivational speak from some very shallow people.

Disregard the title...

I was expecting a book loaded with tips and tricks on Investment techniques and Wealth Management options. I got a series of pep talks from speakers telling me how "You Can Do It."

Self improvement and motivation was not what I was looking for.

Title is very misleading

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This is my first review. But this is so bad, that I felt I must speak up. This is nothing more than a series of old motivational talks put together. There is not one iota of "investing and wealth management advice. Each session, instead of concrete advice, ends with the speaker hawking his books and CDs.

What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?

This is a dishonest rip off and these "speakers" should be ashamed of themselves for calling this investment advice.

What didn’t you like about the narrator’s performance?

There is no narrator

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

NONE

Any additional comments?

Audible should only allow this to show up under a "motivational" catagory. Shame on Audible for placing this under retirement planning.

Awful. Deceptive and misleading title.
