An island in the Caribbean. A centuries-old secret. A life adventure awaits. . . Discover the latest tale of friendship, courage and romance from the Sunday Times bestselling romance writer.

And where Cass goes to photograph a rare stone carving as a favour to her father.

Loved all the accents - so well done. Especially the male voices. Clever . Thanks very much

I have enjoyed every Katie Fforde book until this one. if you told me this is her first book published decades later it would make sense. it is missing the lightness and humour of her other books and seems so " earnest". I did not smile I am sure, just plodded on thinking it will get better. It didn't.
The reader does not do a good accent and it was just, disappointing. I felt no connection to the lead character and her love interest was like a refugee from the early 1960's. There are dozens, hundreds of books available like this one. its not awful, but is titally forgettable. Katie Fforde has not reached her normal standard.

unexpectedly disappointed
