The fate of Artimé is at stake—and an unlikely alliance could redeem it—in book three in the New York Times bestselling Unwanteds series.

The magical world of Artimé is gone. The Unwanteds have no food, no water, and no hope. And everyone is looking to Alex Stowe for answers.

Overwhelmed and feeling totally helpless, Alex knows it’s up to him to find a way to restore Artimé, rescue his captive friends, and free Megan from her voice-stealing necklace of thorns—three impossible tasks. But could help lie with the silent, orange-eyed newcomers?

Meanwhile, in the stark land of Quill, Alex’s twin brother Aaron continues to build his army, preparing for the ultimate showdown with the Unwanteds. But a shocking twist reveals that Alex and Aaron share a common enemy more dangerous than either could have imagined...

My kids and I are still listening to this series and enjoying it. Alex is supposed to fix everything but is completely clueless as to how. He was never taught what to do but everyone is looking to him for answers. Meanwhile, Aaron is still ruling Quill and determined to take over Artime.
I really do like how the author shows the two brothers to be so alike and yet so vastly different. Alex is good and cares for others. Aaron seems selfcentered and only cares about furthering his own rule. The system of Quill is crazy but the people there seem content with it becasue they just know no better. I cannot wait to see where these characters go next but this was a great book.
It is a 5/5 for us! We love these characters.

Amazing Story

Also, the new Narrator threw me, especially because he pronounces some of the names differently, which was really confusing, especially with the made up creatures.

Ends in a cliffhanger!

I loved the actual story! However, the narrator seems to have a bit of an accent. I couldn't understand some of the words he said. Otherwise it was very good.

Great Story, Bad Narrator
