Love this book

Great listen, very well done. Love the adventure feeling of this book. Love the storyline very easy to understand and get into. Definitely recommend this book.

Intriguing, and Easy to Listen To

I really enjoyed Isle of the Unknown Gods. While it’s not a long fantasy, it’s surprisingly rich—with layered plotlines and multiple POVs that keep things engaging throughout. I’m especially intrigued by Salvatore’s mother’s storyline and can’t wait to see how all these threads eventually converge and where they lead. Adara Bryan does a solid job with the narration.

Fast paced + multifaceted

Even though this book isn’t very long, there was so much going on! It was very impressive to have so many plot lines and point of views, but I never felt lost. I can’t wait to see how the story lines of Salvatore and his family (especially his mom and brother) along with Ravenna’s family converge in the next book. I do love the author’s take on magic and the gods and how people corrupt the messages from the gods to maintain control and power. If you enjoy political intrigue then I highly recommend this book. I’m looking forward to book 2! Also, hats off to the narrator, she did an excellent job!

The pacing is steady, the world well-constructed, and the story stays engaging from beginning to end. It’s the kind of writing that quietly hooks you and doesn’t let go.

The narrator, Adara Bryan, delivers a clear, confident performance that makes the story easy to fall into from the first chapter. The delivery is smooth and straightforward, never distracting, and the pacing feels just right. Every word is crisp, allowing the action and emotion to come through naturally. Bryan’s voice is rich and distinct, giving every character their own presence and personality. Subtle tonal shifts highlight the emotional stress behind the scenes and add real depth to the suspense and action. The result is a narration that doesn’t just tell the story — it quietly elevates it.
This is one of those listens where you glance up at the clock and realize hours have passed — always the best kind of storytelling.

Isle of the Unknown Gods by Emery Luna is a great adventure fantasy. Adara Bryan did a great job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, action packed, exciting, engaging, and more. Isle of the Unknown Gods is the first book in Shackle and Stars Trilogy.
