Rallies of hundreds of thousands explicitly or implicitly promoting Hamas’s carnage; demonstrations of Ivy League professors celebrating the pogrom as “awesome” and “exhilarating;” so-called human rights organizations that refuse to unequivocally condemn the use of rape as a weapon of war—it all threatens the physical and metaphysical survival of the West, including the Jewish people and the Jewish State of Israel.

Preserving the best of what’s been thought and said throughout history and ensuring that there will be centuries more requires a West that is proud of its Jewish heritage. In other words, the continued existence of the Jewish people is inextricably tied to the endurance of Western civilization. The State Israel is the center of the civilizational clash, and Israel and Civilization explains why and how the Jewish people must endure—and the Jewish state must win.

Traditional Judaism is the basis for Western Civilization

A bit highbrow but Hammer does a great job of explaining how the thousands of year history of traditional Judaism underpins and forms the basis of what we know as society. So called progressive and woke culture is rejecting that society and seeking to replace it with a modern form of paganism. This also explains the rise of anti Semitism in these movements
The author makes a strong appeal to reject these movements and to return to a traditional model for society

A must read for all Jews and Christians. Josh Hammer’s unabashed treaties is lucid, inspirational and cogent for our precarious times. Great narration by Mike Chamberlain.

PS- I’m not Jewish.
I am a regular listener to Josh Hammer‘s podcast, I’m very glad someone else was reading the book in the audiobook. Mostly because Josh‘s voice can sound harsh and angry, something I understand, but don’t want to listen to hours of it. Content was outstanding, I wasn’t expecting to learn as much as I did.

Clarity and comprehensive language.

The reader requires a rich vocabulary to really appreciate the exposure of the threat we face. The strong exhortation for this awareness and the required action needed is clearly stated.

A lot of details concerning the Jewish faith

The author went into detail concerning the history of Judaism and the history of the state of Israel. This was very informative but he spent an inordinate amount of time castigating certain media outlets and specific pundits especially Candace Owen who he mentioned negatively between 8 and 10 times in the book. Some of his personal information was also excessive. It was obvious that he is extremely dedicated to Judaism. I wanted to listen to the book to learn more about Judaism and Israel but as a non-Jew I felt the author had written the book to be read by Jews and not gentiles.
