Will Israel Sign a 7 Year Covenant with Death? It is our own certainty that we hold the truth that keeps us in the prison of a lie. False presumption typically keeps us from seeing the truth…rather than believing an out and out lie. We do it to ourselves. And that is what brings us to the End-times.

Will Israel sign a 7-year covenant with death? This is the trope that prophecy teachers bring out every time they want to tell you “The Antichrist will sign a 7-year peace treaty with Israel so they can restart temple sacrifices…then the Antichrist will betray Israel and commit the Abomination of Desolation”.

No doubt about it…it has got a great hook and legs. This is the kind of teaching you can sell tickets for. Unfortunately, I’m not selling tickets. I just want the truth. If it is true, it won’t contradict the simple logic of the scriptures. Most prophecy teachers have never taken a logic class.

Their methodology for reconciling scriptures typically starts with “my favorite pastor told me…” and they don’t realize they are using a paradigm to eliminate the consideration of all the scriptures and strain out the ones that don’t conveniently fit what their favorite pastor told them. This question of the “Covenant of Death” is valid. Where does it come from?
