It's New Year's Eve and the stage is set for a lavish party in one of Edinburgh's best postcodes. It's a moment for old friends to set the past to rights-and move on.

The night sky is alive with fireworks and the champagne is flowing. But the celebration fails to materialize.

Because someone at this party is going to die tonight.

Midnight approaches and the countdown begins—but it seems one of the guests doesn't want a resolution.

They want revenge.

From the acclaimed author of Blood Orange comes a thriller of a party spiraling into murder, when one guest's plan to right old wrongs ends in blood, told with Tyce's signature dark and propulsive twists.

The story line is a great thriller. The author’s ability to draw the reader in using vivid imagery is magnificent. The audio performers bring life to the words as if you are in the same room as the characters. Highly recommended!

Fantastic all around

The performances were very good! They were points when I was slightly suspicious of a few characters, and those kept me listening. However, there is an unexpected, and but I would not call it a twist. Not as good as Blood Orange.

I don’t think you can call the twist, a twist.

This one is dark and sharp and well paced and surprising till the very end. Ready to read her other books now. The narration was great. Trigger warnings though.

Really great read

You’ve read the description, so you know the basic plot here. No spoilers here. I’ve lucked out recently with my audiobook choices. Alexa and I enjoyed this Audible listen for many reasons. An absorbing tale by a new favorite author Harriett Tyce and brilliant narrators Lucy Paterson, Samara MacLaren and George Weightman, each complimenting the other with precision. Searching Audible by narrator has most definitely worked for me and I’ve discovered some wonderful hidden gems. In “It Ends at Midnight,” we are treated to Tyce’s unique and extraordinary writing style, as Tyce zigzags back and forth from years past to present. It kept my attention throughout, and I found it difficult to take a break. Subplots in this novel are exceedingly welcome including a shocker of an ending I never expected. No multitasking here; you don’t want to miss anything. Several times, though it was my own fault, I did have to go back a chapter or two. Worth a treasured credit; again I was ecstatic to have found this gem for a mere $2+. So highly recommended with 🍒 🍒 🍒 on top. Epic, indeed!

Relax long enough to let Harriet Tyce get under your skin. And she will! Explore the underside of a memory when distorted by years of ambition. Lean in to a precarious friendship, less than savory sex , betrayal and lies soaked in alcohol
crowned by the much yearned for legal thriller. Its all there, even enhanced to the max by excellent narration,
IT ENDS AT MIDNIGHT, like fine wine, actually gets better and better as the night progresses. An absorbing listen, what you want, to get lift off and out of here.
