The employer will hire someone who has the abilities and talents to fulfill their needs. It is up to YOU to demonstrate, at the INTERVIEW, that you are the person they want. At stake right now is whether new 21st century jobs and industries take root in this country, or somewhere else. We have heard it in the frustrations of those who have seen their paychecks dwindle or their jobs disappear, proud men and women who feel like the rules have been changed in the middle of the game. The competition for jobs is real. But this should not discourage us. It should challenge us.

None of us can predict with certainty what the next big industry will be or where the new jobs will come from. Thirty years ago, we could not know that something called the Internet would lead to an economic revolution. Just think of all the good jobs, from manufacturing to retail, that have come, and will come, from these breakthroughs.
