And readers learn of Mexico's infamous Death Train, which transported countless immigrants from Central America northwards to the US border.

Fun stories of the cultural adventures of a coffee

The cultural adventures of a coffee seeker with the best of intentions written in a very, very entertaining manner. Loved the respectful ways cultures are contrasted and exposed. Also how the after-effects of colonialism are pointed at.

I have a new appreciation for for fair trade coffee, and the farmers who grow coffee.

Makes you appreciate coffee a lot more

Great book, good narrator, I appreciate coffee a lot more now. So I didn't realize it was Jean from Dean's beans until about three chapters in and the funny thing is that I had been drinking the Peruvian French roast from Dean's beans for a while without realizing it I cannot appreciate that coffee a lot more. This book is one of my favorites
