According to Ehrman, Jesus's belief in a coming apocalypse and his expectation of an utter reversal in the world's social organization not only underscores the radicalism of his teachings but also sheds light on both the appeal of his message to society's outcasts and the threat he posed to Jerusalem's established leadership.

Fantastic research and very articulate

Having engaged with numerous works by this author, I am consistently impressed by his depth of scholarship and breadth of knowledge. However, I find this particular volume to be the most meticulously articulated. The clarity of expression and thoroughness of research displayed in this book are particularly noteworthy, showcasing a level of precision and insight that enhances its scholarly value.

Rattles the Cage

Reading this book gives you mixed emotions. First , you feel empowered, enlightened with so much historical information about Jesus or should I say, the lack of it. Then, it tests your faith to the core, you either loose your faith or you reboot and strengthen it. I am rebooting...aiming for a stronger faith and the mission to know more...

Profound Presentation and Boookk

I enjoyed this book and found it to be interesting, provocative, inspiring, educational and life changing.

Worth the read

Great introductory text, can get rather repetitive but also heavy concepts so the repetitiveness is necessary. Worth the read or listen.
