When six childhood friends get together for their annual girl's weekend at the beach in Port Aransas, none could have believed it would be for the very last time. Nina Evans had been saddled with organizing the weekend each year, pulling five of her oldest friends together for a few nights of fun and reminiscing, the one time a year they saw each other. When the women leave and head back to their homes and families, Nina is left to deal with Jones's death alone. She finds herself drawn to the detective as details emerge on the double life Jones led, making Nina realize, despite a lifelong friendship, she never really knew Jones. As the case unravels, Nina finds herself embroiled in the middle of it. The one constant-Quinn Stewart's unwavering commitment to finding the truth . . . and keeping her safe.

The best mystery, murder and a great love story .

This story had me under a spell from the very first chapter. Such a complicated mystery that kept getting more lethal. Quinn was the strong detective that was trying to unwind the murder but it just seemed out of reach. Nina was the best gift from this horrible case. Their relationship seemed to just grow so quickly. It was nice to see Dee and Fin from Moonlight as the story unfolded. I am never disappointed by a Gerri Hill story told by Abby Craden. I just loved it.

Good Story with his Intriguing Twists and Turns

Another Gerri Hill hit. Interesting storylines involving the main characters but away from their story together. As with many of GH’a stories this one involves some crime, police work and a believable, warm, “root for them” budding relationship.

Any Craden is the amazing cherry on top.
